Can I Improve My Eyesight with Simple Exercises?

Many eye-related problems are caused by eyestrain

For instance – when the eye sees something, the muscles surrounding the eye become tense and rigid.

Tense muscles put pressure on the eyeball and distort it’s shape. Muscles around the eye can be trained to relax, which significantly improves eye strain.

Try this simple eye exercise:

  1. Keeping your head still, allow your eyes to move up and down six times
  2. Avoid any strain and effort, repeat this six times, with rests inbetween
  3. Then repeat – this time moving the eyes from left to right and back againng your head relaxed and still

 Another eye exercise technique is called palming:

  1. Sit comfortably and rub your hands together to make them feel warm.
  2. Close your eyes and cover them lightly with your cupped palms. Avoid applying pressure on your eyeballs.
  3. Place your palms over your eyes (nose uncovered)
  4. Ensure that no light rays enter the eyes, i.e.  no gaps between fingers
  5. visualise deep blackness in your mind and focus on it
  6. When you see nothing but blackness, remove your palms from your eyes
