Can I Vote?

To vote in the Uk parliamentary election you need to be age 18 or over.
The following criteria is also applicable as to whether you are eligible vote:

Resident in a constituency and listed on the electoral register.

Not in a category which prohibits from voting – such as: members of the house of lords, prisoners, previous election malpractice, people who are compulsory detained in psychiatric institutions.

A UK citizen or of a Commonwealth country and the Republic of Ireland.
When can I not vote if I am age over 18?
- foreign nationals (excluding citizens of the Irish Republic and Commonwealth countries resident in Britain)
- Members of the House of Lords
- Sentenced prisoners
- People convicted within the previous five years of illegal election practice
