Can Wearing A Tight Bra Cause Breast Cancer?
January 14, 2010 No CommentsSuspicion surrounding tight bra’s and breast cancer initially arose as a result of a survey carried out in the USA.
The survey concluded that breast cancer rates were lower among Japanese woman; who don’t traditionally were bra’s, in comparison to American women.

According to Consultant Breast Specialist ’Lester Barr’, Genesis & Nightingale Prevention Centre, Manchester, UK, bra’s that are worn too tightly could cause an accumilation of lymph fluid. Lymph fluid is essential to flush out waste materials and build-up of toxins away from the breasts, but bras (particularly push-up and plunge designs) may restrict this action, causing a blockage of toxins in the breasts. At present – there is no scientific evidence that tight bra’s can cause cancer, but to be on the safe side – you may want to consider wearing a correctly-fitted bra.
