If a muslim individual follows Jewish law they will not consume pork, For instance – in the Jewish bible (KJV) the following verse ‘Leviticus 11,7′-8 reads ‘And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you’.
Pork is what is known as being a ‘non-kosher’ food.
I.e. A Kosher animal must be a ruminent (chew the cud) and posess split hooves – such as cows, goats, deer, and sheep. Although a pig has split hooves – it is not a ruminent and therefore forbidden jewish food.
