How Do I Relate Feng Shui To Travelling?
July 4, 2010 No CommentsFrankly speaking, Feng Shui is the oriental practice that attempts to unite the heavenly with the worldly to create a certain field of positive energy around the individual. The teaching originated from China and is mostly used for scheduling of one’s living and working areas in such a way as to draw the positive qi to the world of the individual. The teaching is extremely in great request in contemporary Europe and Americas and lots of pieces of advice can be found in the Internet. To crown it all, Feng Shui also touches on travelling experience and if exercised wisely can lead to successful trip.
In fact, people who voyaged with Feng Shui said that they seemed to indulge in the travel much more, were full of energy to fulfill their tasks and came back rested. Let us discuss some of the Feng Shui tips if you want to make a trip.
Keep in mind that you should start your travelling with Feng Shui with determining from what place you are about to start. In this case you have to look for the direction from the side of the place you travel to. For example, if you reside in Spain but travel to Ireland, looking from Ireland, you will be coming from South-West side. As all people fall into two classes, the way chosen may either be good or not. To find out this you need to estimate the Kua number.
This is simply done in the following manner:
You have to add the last two numbers of the year you were born in. For example, if you were born on 30 March 1988, you calculate a sum of 8+8=16. If the number you get is greater than ten, add those two numbers together, e.g. 1+6=7. Now males need to subtract the sumtotal you have got from 10, e.g.: 10-7=3; and women should add 5, e.g.: 7+5=12. For females, if you get a number that is bigger than 10, sum the characters, e.g.: 1+2=3. Threfore, in our example, the Kua number for both men and females is 3.
East group of people will have the Kua number as 1, 3, 4, 9; and West people will have 2, 5, 6, 7, 8.
And so if you are an East person with Kua number 3, and you are voyaging from Portugal to Britain, you should wait for fortune from the north and financial aid from the south. So make sure you have your meetings south-facing if you expect money or north-facing if you require luck.
Besides, you should do some common rituals depending on where you travel to. For example, if you go in southern direction, have a glass of water and wash your hands before you go out of the house. If you are travelling northward, throw some dirt into the way of the north before you leave. If you are travelling to the East, ring a bell seven times in the direction of the east, and if you are going westward, direct a lit candle into this direction. All these rituals promise great trip and success in your journeying experience.
Though we do not apply Feng Shui practices in our work, at Jackson Hole Wyoming we do attempt to make your journey a fine and comfortable one.
